Care Policy

Cumberland Court is registered with the National Care Standards Commission as an approved provider of residential care for 20 older people. Our policy is to treat every resident as an individual to be consulted on issues affecting them and to be made to feel wanted, comfortable and fulfilled as far as is possible. We positively encourage regular contact between residents and their families and friends who are welcome to visit at any reasonable time. Involvement in local, social and community activities is also promoted.

On the admission of a new resident to Cumberland Court a personal care plan is agreed in conjunction with their medical advisers, relatives and any other people concerned. The resident is also consulted. This plan relates to specific requirements and needs. In addition a member of staff is appointed to act as their key worker.
