Services & Activities

Among regular visitors to the home are the residents' own general practitioners (when required), community nurses, dentist, optician, chiropodist, pharmacist, hairdresser. Clergy of various denominations also visit. There is a library with many books in large print which are changed regularly by the library service. We have a small shop which sells personal items, stationery, confectionery etc. A pay phone is provided on the ground floor for residents' use.

Linen and clothing is laundered in house on a daily basis and returned to residents’ rooms.

Residents are involved in planning our programme of activities which takes their needs and wishes into account. There is a regular weekly exercise session.  We also hold musical afternoons, ever popular bingo sessions and quizzes. Our Christmas party for residents, their families and friends is always a happy occasion. Residents who have had hobbies in the past are encouraged to resume them. Our programme includes a planned activity for each day of the week in which visitors are welcome to participate.
